Enchanting Dream by Landscapist Enchanting Dream by Landscapist

acrylic on canvas

An expressionistic experiment I did today

I am addicted to doing details, but with this I had to restrain myself, because in a dream you see the big picture and not the details.

This looked alike a photo in the thumbnail, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was really a lovely acrylic painting.

The leaves are very realistically drawn, and it really give out the feeling of it being a dream, all the colours blend beautifully and make a whimsical impact on the senses.

I like that you didn't pay to much attention to the details, it really shows in a good way. The sun is subtle, and the dying branches on the main tree and its surrounding ones really give way to the dream.

There clearly a large amount of effort put into this piece and its lovely. Thank-you for sharing :) I look forward to seeing more of your work up for critique.

I like how you've pointed the viewer's perspective so we can see distinct path choices but no clear destinations. The sunlight coming through the trees definitely draws my focus and lets the darker edges drop into my peripheral vision as if it was a waking dream. Excellent work with this one!

What an atmosphere! Focusing on the big picture gave it a real mood.
